Street Fair

e-Biosphere 09 strives to familiarize participants with the full range of initiatives, networks, and databases that constitute Biodiversity Informatics.

As there are too many outstanding activities to include in plenary sessions, Conference organizers will host a “Street Fair” as part of the meeting. The Street Fair will include three adjacent areas in the conference venue, devoted to:

  • Poster presentations,
  • Software and database demonstrations, and
  • Commercial exhibits

Poster Presentations

The Conference Programme Committee will evaluate submissions for poster abstracts and will award space in the poster presentation area on a competitive basis.

Abstracts will be published on the Conference website and in a printed volume distributed at the Conference. There will be no charge to presenters for poster space. Up to 275 posters will be accepted.

Abstract submission now closed.

Software and Database Demonstrations

Participants are encouraged to apply for display booths to demonstrate their database initiatives, software developments and other biodiversity-related programs.

Electrical power, a table, two chairs, and display areas will be provided for a base rental fee. Optional features such as flat-panel display monitors, supplemental power sources, and extra lighting will be available at an additional charge. Booth rental includes two access badges to the exhibit area and a 25% discount on one or two conference registrations.

Demonstration booth applications now closed.

Exhibits

Companies, societies, and other biodiversity-related organizations may rent a standard display booth or floorspace for their custom-built displays.

Exhibitor applications now closed.
